We are pleased to have sponsored a car safety demonstration held by three members of the Charleston County Sheriff’s Department for neighborhood kids in the Seaside Farms subdivision in Charleston. The event took place on Saturday, August 15th and provided attendees the opportunity to learn car safety from experienced Charleston County Officers. The officers providing the demonstration have written over 1,400 tickets throughout their careers, and were able to share valuable safety tips on how to drive safely and avoid auto accidents.
The officers used their experience to share some of the most common factors that lead to vehicle accidents such as distracted driving, failing to follow traffic signals, and even helped educate attendees on various safety features they can utilize to help protect themselves and others while driving. The demonstration also emphasized the importance of practicing safe driving habits such as wearing your seatbelt, keeping your eyes on the road, and keeping a lookout for potential hazards that may increase the likelihood of an accident. After the event, the officers were invited to come speak at our very own Attorney Gary Christmas’ house in Seaside Farms, where a barbecue lunch was provided by Swig and Swine, one of our firm’s favorite local restaurants. Here are some pictures from this wonderful and informative day!
