One of four youths charged with throwing heavy stones off an overpass, resulting in serious injury to an Ohio teacher, testified in court Tuesday.
“I knew they were going to throw rocks, but never thought they were going to hurt anyone as they did it,” said Keefer McGee.
The four young men had been out, bent on a night of mayhem. In a string of thefts and vandalism, the four young men stole food from a grocery store, smashed windows and mailboxes and drove vehicles through a farmer’s field before finally deciding to drop rocks onto oncoming vehicles from an overpass. The teacher whose car they hit with the rock sustained severe head wounds, losing the use of one eye, with damage to the other and her long term prognosis is “unclear.”
